Carbondale, CO- Chef/owner Mark Fischer and wine director Bill Bentley of Restaurant SIX89 are teaming with Rosemount Estate to present a winemaker dinner on Tuesday, March 12th at 7 p.m. SIX89 is located at 689 Main Street in Carbondale, Colorado. SIX89 is offering a five course menu paired with five wines from Rosemount Estate. One of Australia's largest and most recognized wine producers, Rosemount has recently been crowned "Best New World Winery" by Wine Enthusiast, and "Best Australian Producer" at the San Francisco International Wine Competition. One of the featured wines, the 1998 Mountain Blue Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded a double gold medal at the San Francisco competition.
Long known for making consistently excellent wines, Rosemount and Winemaker Phillip Shaw, have been very influential in realizing and establishing regional characteristics from Australia's different appelations. The wines truly have a sense of place.
