SIX89 recently received rave reviews in the 2002 Zagat Guide, including the highest food rating of any restaurant in the Aspen area. Mark Fischer’s cooking and Bentley’s wine list have also received glowing reports from Gourmet, Food & Wine and other national publications. Denver magazine 5280 named SIX89 the best mountain restaurant in Colorado.
S. Rhodes Vineyards specializes in premium red wines, hand-crafted in the traditional European style. Owner and winemaker, Steve Rhodes skillfully creates full-bodied, deeply colored wines of distinction. His wines were included among the “2001 Saveur 100”, an honor bestowed by the culinary publication Saveur. SIX89 sommelier Bill Bentley believes that Rhodes makes the best red wines in Colorado, with the Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc being standouts. Bentley also finds Rhodes’ wines to be better than comparable and more expensive California wines.
