ASPEN, Colo.– Join host Mark Fischer of SIX89 in Carbondale and the following talented chefs for a "Friends of James Beard Benefit" on Monday, August 12 at SIX89 Restaurant in Carbondale, Colorado: Chad Scothern, Cosmopolitan/Telluride; Frank Bonnano, Mizuna/Denver; Ryan Hardy, Coyote Café/Santa Fe (and formerly of Rustique/Aspen), Barclay Dodge, Mogador/Aspen; Paul Wade, Montagna/Aspen; and Glenn Smith, Cooking Schools of Aspen. These top Rocky Mountain-area chefs will prepare a magnificent repast to benefit The Beard Foundation.
The price for the six-course meal, including champagne and wines coordinated by SIX89 sommelier Bill Bentley, is $125 per person (or $100 for James Beard Foundation members). Champagne and hors d’oeuvres will be presented at 6:30pm followed by a six-course dinner at 7:30pm. For reservations or information, call SIX89 at 970.963.6890.
The event will benefit The James Beard Foundation, a not-for profit culinary organization dedicated to furthering the practice and appreciation of fine food and beverage in America. The James Beard Foundations is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Wines and champagnes were donated in part by Christopher Golub of Veuve Clicquot Inc.
