RESTAURANT SIX89 HOSTS SINEANN & DAVID O'REILY
THE EVENT: SINEANN WINEMAKER'S DINNER
THE DATE: 5 MARCH 2003
THE TIME:
THE PLACE: SIX89
Restaurant SIX89 is hosting a special evening for wine and food lovers on Wednesday, April 2, at 7 p.m. A winemaker’s dinner will feature wines from Sineann, presented by winemaker David O’Reily and Bill Bentley of SIX89, and a six-course dinner prepared by SIX89 Chef/Owner Mark Fischer. The price is $68.90 per person, not including taxes and gratuity.
Sineann is a small producer of highly intense wine from Yamhill County, Oregon. They source their fruit from some of the best vineyards in the region; Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris from the Willamette Valley and the Hood River Valley; Cabernet, Merlot and Zinfandel from the Columbia Valley; and Gewurztraminer from the Willamette Valley and the Columbia Gorge. Almost all the wines are vineyard designated. Crop levels are kept very low, with only one to three tons per acre. All fruit is hand sorted, delicately destemmed, punched down by hand, gently pressed and gravity racked. The wines are aged in new and one year old French oak. Following is the menu for the evening:
An Amuse Bouche of Chilled Pea Soup with Lobster 2002 Owen Roe Pinot Gris, Cassablanca Vineyard, Oregon
